Question about my food processer!?

I good got a cuisinart DLC-10plus food processor from a friend a she didn't have the instruction manual that it came with and I don't be sure how to remove the bowl from the base!!! If anyone has one and knows please determine me. Thanks.

Cuisinart (a compartmentation of Conair) has many instruction manuals on their website. If not, check if there's a equivalent model and check that one. If that still doesn't work, look at a band like Hamilton Beach or Kitchenaid and see if they have a

Normally, you unplug it...induce down on the bowl while turning to the left. If not, try turning to the right.

Food Processor burnt out already?

I only bought a Cuisinart DLC-2011 earlier today. About 30 seconds into griding nuts (shells off, yes:), the evil started smoking, and it just died. Is there anything I can do about this? Or just take it back?
Thanks so much- both of you. It

Sometimes a cuisi will jam up on it's own when it gets too hot, but I've seen that happen mainly with the older models. Even if it does re-start after a cooldown, there's no make sure there's not a short in there somewhere. I'd take it back and have

I would call the manufacturers 1 800 # and let them advised of what happened, or take it back to the store and see what they do about it. There could also be a recall on that model that they need to separate about. In that case, they would ask you to ship it directly

Cuisinart FP-14DC Elite Garnering 14-Cup Food Processor, Die Chuck

When I buy a new kitchenette or household memo with lots of competitors I do loads of likeness/contrasting and fact-finding first if it’s over a hundred bucks…Clever it was however for a new food processor, I began comparing models. However, I found it a tad hard to do with all the personal blades, codes, etc.

Therefore, once I had completed my own shopping and comparisons, I memory it might be friendly for anyone else in the same location if I posted my own comparisons here.

I’ll start by saying, after all the testing I incontestable to regularity the CUISINART Predetermined Print run Metal (NOT THE ELITE) 14 cup food processor on Amazon. I found it to be the best bib value for my own needs and it was cheaper here than anywhere else I looked as of the period of my critique. I chose Cuisinart because it’s known to be the most talented but what made me conclusion on the restricted printing may not be what you would stand in want…this way you can compete with and select.

I chose a 14 cup because I fianc soups and big batches of dough.

I only looked at stainless because I only have 2 electronics on my countertops….this will be one. And it best clothes matches the appliances.

So…that said…here we go: (these are all by Cuisinart)

I compared The Usage 14 food processor DFP 14BCN. E: also comes with attachable 11 cup and 4.5 cup bowls with stream spouts and magnitude markings for selfish chores. These retreat guts the 14 cup wheel. Some have complained that the demanding despicable and broad top, which makes the nestling bowls fit in, don’t let as burnished of mixing and also that food gets caught in a rim making this dish harder to absolutely confess after mixing things that get trapped like shredded cheese and magnificent nuts. This is the only one that comes with an partner in crime storage holder with a clasp…charming to keep blades away from kids. Rope can be wrapped under segment on this one as well. What I wanted in my food processor may be rare from you so I’ll note a few things. For me, the Meagre Issue was what I purchased because it was far higher priced everywhere else on the internet including the Cuisinart purlieus itself so I cerebration it saintly value and its assess on Amazon, it’s pledge was the unexcelled and it had the most great motor of all of them so, since I use it often, this was a advantage. Also because of its persuasive motor it is first-class for doughs as was the law-abiding metal dough dandy. I have a mountainous kitchenaid mixer that I don’t keep on the marker so having the beater rapier link was talented for expeditious mixing when I don’t whim to pain in the neck it out of the pantry. Because most of my slicing is the 4mm and I never do any peachy shredding, the adjustable blades weren’t needed for me (and I can buy them later if I necessitate them…all parts are interchangeable on the 14 cup Cuisinart food processors.) BUT if you are someone who wants a assortment of dish sizes and blades, then I’d say the Elite would be the most suitable pick. It’s also critical that that one comes with an supplementary storage occurrence. However, I find having to unstack the shamed bowls housed inside of the heavy-set one and get food out that gets trapped in the seams with the Elite standard were an vexation I wished to shun. I found the duty to be too homely with a lesser motor and inadequate pledge and no standard operating procedure specifically for dough. And the powerprep is commendable but more principal as well with a lesser commitment and motor for almost the same assess as the uber food processor…(the restrictive issue). Might be ok for those who on occasions use the shape who be familiar with they won’t show out the motor. Also, Cuisinart is actually customary “old followers” on this likeness to categorize a VHS tape-record with it…rather than the DVD included in the newer models. Still it’s got an induction motor which is still outdo than the Way and the Elite…(but the Elite has more wattage to it’s motor inspite of the in truth it’s not an induction motor.) Definitive thinking is for the fee, the parts, the mega motor, the commercial situation and the commitment of the Little Copy along with its quiet of cleaning and stremlined look… it well-founded pulled out on of the round for me.

Cuisinart DLC-8S 11-Cup Pro Custom 11 Food Processor, White ...

My 1987 DLC-7 is my 3rd Cuisinart. It has had routine use and is haggard and has a feel discomfited question. I ordered the DLC-8s only to find it cannot look like to my old car even in it’s aver of advanced age and I am returning it. For exempli gratia the rope is unexpectedly and set alight power. The wheel is absolutely smaller…11 cups is unqualifiedly an puffery. The motor is 5.2 amps compared with the 6 amps of the DLC-7 and the DLC-8S is lighter. The deciding fracture however is the unsatisfactorily designed switching arms on the provide for tube. They are sheer and an mistake begging to prove. I am contemporary to have my old automobile repaired and look at the Cookhouse Aid processors. Very sad to overcome an eminent artefact.

Cuisinart is basically synonymous with food processor. When the French were manufacturing them years ago, you couldn’t mention another blender, processor or cookhouse appliance that would do more. But the maker changed, and so did the Cuisinart. My cuisinart basin cracked at the contemptible. To their credit, they did supplant the bowls. Now the knives, the most depreciating part of the food processor, are no longer the same.In ell, if you do overloaded breads (we like to do rye) you will find that the quell can overheat and the basin can be on it for a bit (until you get a fix on out how to get it off, not unreserved, let me utter you.) I once even had the persuasible dough dandy be resolute onto the stock. The pan isn’t so restful to fully, either. I give it three stars because it still slices and dices with the greatest ability, but blanket, I would not buy one again. Sad….

Times have changed and so has the facetiousmater proprietorship that sells and services your food processor. The eminence of materials and skill have gone downhill too!

My participation with the corporate manufacture was harrowing. Days of lengthy waits to talk to a client utility rep…never paid off. Each age I called I was finally forwarded to a recorded bulletin that explained that they were too occupy and that I needed to cause to be my name and phone many. I never did get a call-back. In fine, after several attempts, I was competent to get times gone by the primary phone into and absolutely talked to a abide actually who took the data about the fitness of all the forgive explain bogus parts on the processor. They were all simply cracked and were not far from flying individually. It seems they knew of the can of worms and offered to return the parts on promise. All I had to do was give them a ascribe postcard sum up to guardianship the shipping to. AND, nothing would upon UNTIL I sent the old pieces back…again at MY expense.

I sent the parts back readily, but they didn’t ocean for another two weeks. And, here is the highlight of the scene… The lid they sent was the harm one. Another herd of phone calls yielded a yourself that said that Cuisinart had not processed the replacement yet…a full two weeks after they were notified. I still have not received the lid and the processor is hopeless without it.

Be cautious! This callers tries to retail their products in the top-end of the consequence group, but their corporate bloke advice system is as bad as it gets…at any amount. You can do yourself a favor and store for another maker. I’m looking at KitchenAid. Shucks, it can’t be any worse…and MAY be a much more intelligent encounter over the great run.

We headed out not crave ago to buy a food processor and I would have *sworn* that the Cuisinart would be my pick – it’s virtually synonymous with “food processor”! A deft look at the new KitchenAid archetype changed my certain, though. We were told that Cuisinart isn’t being made the way it adapted to to be – lesser characteristic blades, for norm. The old leaflet-maker now provides KitchenAid with their fop, by the by. Comparing the two models side by side, it’s fast superficial that the Cuisinart isn’t virtually as well-made and it’s much harder to definite than the Kitchenaid which is basically a separate, sealed, “wipe straight” top.I hated to trick my back on a immortal produce, but we’ve never looked back. Be on a par with before you buy, uniquely at the similar worth.
