Will an air ionizer magnetize my cassette tape recorder?

Hi I recently purchased an air ionizer. Will it get in the way of with my cassette tape recorder and magnetize the magnetic headmistress?
I think i'm sort of paranoid.. i just want to fall upon sure that my tape recorder will not be damaged.

How can I tell if the ionizer on my air filter creates ozone?

I skilled in not all ionizer air filters create ozone, and I have pets that I can't have near ozone. Other ions are charge. I just haven't been using the "Performance booster" for anxiety it creates ozone. I have Holmes HAP412N-U HEPA-Type Mini Bell-tower Air Purifier.

That's a adequate question! HEPA filters generally do not rely on apparent power to ionize the air, and should produce no measurable ozone. Some electrostatic precipitators (and UV germicidal lamps that were occupied in smoke filters) do make ozone and possibly some nitrogen oxides, which not only damages textiles and rubber products, but even the lungs with extended use.
If there is a metal order or pins with high voltage across it, it's suspect, but if it has an activated carbon refine afterwards, not much ozone should come through. If there is an on/off switch for the ionizer, just leave it off.
There are a slews of ozone test kits, from a few dollars for one-time dissertation test strips (probably what you might use) to machines costing hundreds of dollars.

Make a Simple, but, Powerful Air Ionizer!!

Several years ago, I've been playing with some unembellished "negative ion generator" circuits...
You can easily get the circuit on the internet of path... Such as this...

It uses voltage multiplier a.k.a.  "Cockcroft-Walton Generator" to multiply the voltage to several kilovolts...
I tried that before, and, surprisingly, it does labour!! It makes me sleep easier, relaxed, so on and so forth...

But, it's not substantial enough to meet my requirement... I want to ionize the whole air in my in one piece house!!
Bwahahaha!!

So, I come out with more powerful design...
Very little parts are needed...

In this concoct, I use:

555-astable circuit




The circuit is pretty unadorned, but, very effective... All you have to do is tune it to your flyback transformer resonant frequency... To hint that you achieved resonance, the transistor is cold to give rise to retouch and it does not draw high current but yet, it produce high result...


The Flyback Transformer





As you may noticed, I also wind a new primary on the ferrite-heart... Mine is about 8 turns...
I get this for free from my friend's old monitor... (Thanks Salahudeen!!)
In this container, the transformer produce DC HV output...
The positive is the one which have the rubber cap, while the negative, you have the find it on your own which pin is the blame one...

The NPN Transistor...





It may looks funny, I submerged the transistor in ATF-oil... Although the transistor is dead to touch, I believe it's safer to do it this way... It really saved my transistors from recurrent death... Lol!!

The Negative Ion Emmiter Design





This is the simplest frame that I can think of... I use a small hex driver as the negative pole, and I use an old angry disk platter as the positive pole...
The hex driver is been positioned at the center of the dish's hole...
Small purple arc also can being seen...

The PSU





I use 3 batteries as the PSU... First battery is occupied to drive the 555-timer circuit, while other two batteries is been configured in 24V to run the flyback windings...

The RESULTS!!


The consequence are quite impressive... It worked better than I thought... Here's several pictures of it:
